Lessons Learned & Moving Forward for 2012

Well 2011 started off with the publication of our first charity book for the troops “Untold Stories from Iraq & Afghanistan” in February 2011. But little did we know that the coming year would be far less than successful. At the end of 2010 a lot of things came into place at the last moment which allowed us to get Volume One out in February 2011.

We did a print run of 5000 copies. To date we still have over 4000 copies left. While we had a good strong run of sales in the beginning the bad economy eventually won out and really crippled what we had intended on doing. Through out the year we had spurts of sales but nothing like we had hoped for. As we look back we realize we made some poor choices, especially where it came to pricing our initial book.

With a cover price of $24.99 plus shipping & handling for a 72 page color cover and B&W interior , We set our goals to high thinking because of the subject matter that the book would still sell strong. Well a lesson learned, is a lesson learned indeed! So in 2012 that will be remedied ! So stay Tuned here for our next issue.

If you served in any war past or present “We Want your Stories”

If you are presently active duty, retired or a veteran that has served in any war from WW I , WW II , Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, Iraq or Afghanistan. Really any war that America and her allies have fought in, we want to hear from you. Tell us your stories let us be your voice to let the world know what it was like from your own words.

The Untold Stories.  that we will  put  into an Illustrated Graphic Novel, like the one featured here on this site. You as the member of our military will be completely involved in the telling of your story, We keep you in contact with the artist, writers, inker’s, letterers, really the whole process.

Because it’s your story and you have final approval on how it goes to print ! So if you feel you have a story you would like to share with the world please contact us. We do not take any stories that are CLASSIFIED or HOME LAND SECURITY sensitive so please do not submit anything of that nature. It has been a while since I posted anything here. I have been very busy trying to get our Non-Profit on its feet. I must tell you the dream is much easier to obtain than the reality! But even though we did not have as good of a year in 2011 as we would have hoped. We look forward to 2012 and hope that it will bring with it a New Beginning and a prosperous year. I would like to Thank all that have supported us over the past year and the many friends and people we have come to know. So Thank You ALL. Well that’s all for now. So lets grab this year by the horns and get ready for one Hell of a ride in 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a public THANK YOU to an amazing individual. That individual is Nick Jones Jr. now for those of you who don’t know who Nick Jones is….. That will soon change!!!! See the pic below. Nick is Heroes Fallen Studios Official Spokesman. He is also an Actor & Active Duty Marine in our armed forces. You could not ask for a better roll model for young kids to look up to than Nick. He lives his life as seriously as he does the Marine code! Nick Thank you sir for Standing for what is right and decent in the world today! I will forever have your back sir! Semper-Fi

Hello, my name is Clayton D. Murwin AKA The Hero Maker. I am a comic book artist & President & Founder of Heroes Fallen Studios Inc. a 501c-3 Non-Profit who wanted to give something back to our brave men & women who have sacrificed so much! I would like to know if you would be willing along with me offer your services pro-bono (free) to help us in an effort to help our men and women in Iraq & Afghanistan who lost their lives or were injured. We are working on  our second  Graphic Novel of “Untold Stories From Iraq & Afghanistan and need your help to help us help our brave men and women in this war. All proceeds would go to support our Troops. Via four designated charities

This special Graphic Novel will be showcasing true-life stories from our men and women serving in the war or who  have served in the war. The Stories will be in their own words; they can be funny stories, heroic stories, touching stories, anything a service man or woman would like to say to let people know what it is really like in a war, the good and the bad. This would be just like a normal Graphic Novel with many artist and writers donating their services to bring this to life. Once the novel is completed then it would go on the market in several different venues. This is to honor the soldiers who have died and our soldiers who have been injured due to the war. We do this to thank the family’s and soldiers who have sacrificed much in this war and have received little appreciation. And if you have friends who would like to share their stories, We promise to do this in the most professional and dignified manner possible. So let me know if you can help with the stories or if you would like to be one of the artist. writer , publisher etc… Thank you for your time.
